The S2AS Team have just got back from Italy's Lake Garda Testing the new Kites & Kiteboards from Slingshot Kiteboarding inc the new SLINGSHOT REV 09, (not called the REV 2) we tried it in wind speeds from 11 - 20 knots.
we said last year about the Slingshot rev 08
"This kite will blow your mind. It is super stable, fast, and very forgiving".
Well in 2009 more of the same still the Slingshot rev 09 is very stable fast and forgiving with more Features then ever before.
The safety system is unreal... you can release the chicken loop on a full release so the bar goes up the centre line and STILL re-launch the kite with no Line tangles at all!! Every time.

The slingshot 2009 REV is in the 2nd year and the kite keeps all of it's features and also adds some sweet new flying options to change the feel and performace of the new Slingshot Rev 2009 Kite if your looking for performance & requirements of a traditional C Shape kite but more depower and the range of a dedicated BOW kite get the Slingshot Rev 2009.
The 2009 SLINGSHOT REV is a 4 line Hybrid kite that has a unique compact bridle and comes complete with the NEW 2009 Slingshot Direct drive control Bar.
The New Direct Drive control bar has a new 2009 soft grip and slightly larger dimatier to stop forearm fatuige and it eliminates the use of pulleys on the bar and features the new centre safety system, (Slinsghot call is the CSS) which Brings 100% depower safety and convenience below the bar.

Ecco Alcune News sulle modifiche del modello 2009 rispetto al 2008.
IL REV 09 si presenta così rispetto al suo predecessore:
1 leggero aumento della pressione alla barra, questo da come conseguenza:
• di permettere al rider di conoscere ancor meglio in ogni istante e in qualunque situazione l'esatta posizione della vela all'interno della finestra di volo
• aumentata percezione di reattività (minor tempo di reazione ala rispetto al comando alla barra)
2 Aumento del tiro nei bassi percettibile, la vela a parità di misura ha un pelo di tiro in più
3 Accresciuta progressività nel rilascio della potenza durante l'attraversamento della finestra
4 Nuova grafica a pannelli verticali e logo sling tono su tono nei tip
5 Rinforzi aggiuntivi sulle cuciture della LE e degli struts
6 Barra con nuova grafica e grip, buco passante del depower allargato e in acciaio pieno
7 Tre diversi attacchi per le backline che rendono la pressione alla barra e il tiro del loop modulabile da parte del rider senza intaccare minimamente velocità e reattività della vela
Sostanzialmente la vela risulta essere più freestyle oltre a mantenere inalterate le caratteristiche di facilità e divertimento puro sin dal primo volo come sulla 08
